The Illinois High School Helmet Project

Here are a few of the NIC 9 helmets that I could get together right now.

Harlem Huskies



Freeport Pretzels (The strap kind of blocks the side of the helmet, but that's the best picture I could find. It's basically an "FP")





Auburn Knights (No Middle Stripe)





Hononegah Indians (No Middle Stripe)



Guilford Vikings (No Middle Stripe)



Belvidere Bucs (2nd picture because their stripe doesn't go all the way to the back of the helmet)





Missing teams... I'll look for pictures of them i nthe next few days.

Jefferson J-Hawks (I believe the colors you have for their helmet is right, but there is a red hawk on it as well, can't remember about the stripe)

Boylan Titans (I believe what you have up there is right, they only have the school colors on their helmets, no logo, no stripe)

East E-RABS (Black helmet, with the word E-RABS written in red, can't remember if they have a stripe or not)

Also, next season (2007 football season) the NIC 9 becomes the NIC 10 when the Belvidere North Blue Thunder join the conference. I know two of the colors are crimson, and blue, but don't remember the 3rd, and haven't seen their logo yet, altho I hear it will be some sort of horse.

Thank you for the pictures shown here...I will probably be able to do them all except for Auburn and maybe Belvidere....I'll have to see how my luck goes with it...I will work on them and try to have at least some of them with my next update (after tonights)....

Here are a few more..

Jefferson J-Hawks. Their logo is in the upper left hand corner on the following link. I am almost sure they have gold helmets, with a red hawk logo, but I'll check for sure and get back to you, but I def. know that is the logo on their helmet

Here is a link to the East logo. I know their helmets are black, and I'm pretty sure they don't have a stripe in them. Also almost positive that their face mask is black as well. The logo that is on their helmet is located halfway down the page on the right side... "E-rabs" I'll ask around on another forum and see who can correct me on what, and I'll get back to you.

If you can confirm the helmet/facemask/stripes for the last two, I can probably make both of those...I looked (not real hard), but couldn't find pictures for either one...

Ok, I looked for more pictures, and came up with these.

I was WAY off on Jefferson. I could have swore at one time or another they had the J-Hawk logo on their helmet, but maybe I was just dreaming. Anyways, here is a picture of them in their home uniforms.



Boylan, I'm sure you had right, they just have the color, but I found a picture of their helmet as well, so here it is.

Yep....I've already got Boylan...Those are great pictures of RE and Jefferson....I'll definitely be able to do Jefferson and I hope I can make the logo for RE work....I'll do my best with it...

The Belvidere helmet in these pictures is now a historical helmet, last worn in 2006...They have a new helmet for 2007...
